Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) has signed a dry lease contract for three incremental ATR72-600s from Nordic Aviation Capital.

The lessor said the aircraft would come from its existing order book from ATR - Avions de Transport Régional. It confirmed to ch-aviation that the first two aircraft will deliver in 2024, followed by the third one in 2025.

Fiji Airways currently operates two ATR72-600s through its domestic subsidiary, Fiji Link (FJA, Nadi). The turboprops are deployed domestically, as well as to Port Vila in Vanuatu, Funafuti in Tuvalu, and Tongatapu and Vava'u in Tonga, the ch-aviation schedules module shows. Fiji Link's fleet also comprises one ATR42-600 and four DHC-6-400s.

The mainline's fleet comprises three A330-200s, one A330-300, four A350-900s, five B737-8s, and one B737-800. Fiji Airways does not currently lease any aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital.

The lessor's portfolio of ATR turboprops comprises six ATR42-500s, sixteen ATR42-600s, fifteen ATR72-500s, three ATR72-500(F)s, and ninety-two ATR72-600s.
