Cambodian investment holding Royal Group of Companies has unveiled plans to launch its own business charter specialist with a fractional ownership programme under the CamJets brand.
The holding staged a press event at Phnom Penh on August 21, operating a demo flight using a Challenger 3500, N996CL (msn 20996). However, the company confirmed to ch-aviation that it is currently evaluating two older-generation types for launch: either Challenger 605s or Learjet 60XRs. A final decision will be made after more investor prospect meetings.
The start-up aims to target both business travellers and the premium leisure market.
CamJets plans to operate under its own Cambodian AOC. Once launched, the operator will become the first Cambodia-based and -certified business charter specialist.
