Aegle Aviation (Hong Kong International) has stopped operating its only A330-200, which had been deployed on behalf of Flamingo Cargo between Europe and Libya over the last year.
ch-aviation research has revealed that VP-CKK (msn 926) was removed from Aegle Aviation as of late July 2024, following the last Châteauroux Déols Marcel Dassault-Benghazi flight on July 27. It was then ferried from Libya to Woensdrecht for storage on August 13, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.
Aegle Aviation began operating the A330 in August 2023. The 16.3-year-old widebody was painted in the opaque cargo firm's livery and continued to operate to Benghazi and Tripoli Mitiga from various European airports for nearly a year, albeit with very low utilisation.
The aircraft was the only non-business jet in Aegle Aviation's fleet. The Hong Kong firm operates one G550, one G650(ER), one Global 6000, and one Global Express XRS, while its subsidiary Aegle Aviation (Aruba) operates one Citation Jet 4 Gen2 and one Hawker 850XP.
