Colorful Yunnan Airlines (CYN, Kunming Changshui) has retired both of its Phenom 300 light jets, ch-aviation research has revealed. The business charter specialist, which once harboured ambitions to enter the scheduled niche, appears to have been inactive since October 2023.

Colorful Yunnan stopped operating B-3356 (msn 50500392) and B-3355 (msn 50500363) in September and October 2023, respectively. The Embraer Executive Jets jets were then parked at Kunming Changshui and later at Tianjin.

B-3355 was ferried from Tianjin via Urumqi, Almaty International, Aktau, Ankara Esenboga, Milan Linate, Shannon, Reykjavik Domestic, Vancouver International, Wilmington International, Miami Opa-Locka, Bridgetown, Manaus International, Recife, Vitória Goiabeiras to Aeroparque Aldeia da Serra airport over the course of July 10-18. It was re-registered as PS-ECE on August 1 for private use without commercial authorisation.

Sistership B-3356 was ferried from Tianjin via Urumqi, Almaty, Kyzylorda, Aktau, and Ankara, for short maintenance at Altenrhein over July 6-11. It then flew onwards via the same routing as B-3355 to Aeroparque Aldeia da Serra on July 22-26. It was re-registered as PT-PPP on August 23, also for private use without commercial authorisation.

The two Phenom 300s were the first and still only units of the type delivered to China in 2016, when Colorful Yunnan Airlines selected them for its fleet. The start-up obtained a CCAR Part 135 certificate and launched in late 2017.
