K-Mile Asia (8K, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has taken delivery of its first B767-300ER(BCF) - its first widebody freighter and the first of its type in Thailand.
HS-KSA (msn 33421) arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on September 6, 2024, following a non-stop ferry flight from Guangzhou. The company told ch-aviation that the aircraft is leased from its previous operator SF Airlines.
Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000s, the aircraft is 22 years old and was initially delivered to Hawaiian Airlines (HA, Honolulu). Following P2F conversion into a freighter in 2023, it was then operated by China's SF Airlines.
HS-KSA will complement K-Mile's existing fleet of one B737-400(BDSF), two B737-400(SF)s, and two B737-800(BCF)s, and is expected to enter service in October 2024. It will operate K-Mile routes between Thailand and Southeast Asia, China, and India.
A second B767, HS-KSB (msn 33422), is undergoing maintenance in Guangzhou and is expected to be delivered to K-Mile Asia later this month with operations expected to start in late October or early November.
K-Mile is a 55/45 joint venture between Thai investors and Europe's ASL Aviation Holdings. HS-KSA is also the holding's first B767.
