Allegiant Air (G4, Las Vegas Harry Reid) took delivery of its first B737-8-200 on September 9, after N811NV (msn 68002) was ferried from Seattle Boeing Field to Phoenix Williams Gateway, ADS-B data shows.

With this delivery, Allegiant Air becomes the first carrier in the United States to receive the densified B737-8 variant. Due to the ongoing Boeing (BOE, Washington National) delivery delays, the airline expects to receive four additional planes of the type throughout the remainder of the year, down from the 12 scheduled at the start of 2024.

N811NV is owned by the ULCC carrier. It can carry 190 passengers in a single-class configuration, although it has 21 “Allegiant Extra” seats with additional legroom.

The remaining three B737-8-200s set to be delivered in 2024 already have their US registrations assigned - N810MG (msn 68001), N812NV (msn 68003), and N813NV (msn 68004).

“We are thrilled to take delivery of our first B737-8-200. The efficiency and operational reliability of this next-generation aircraft will bring numerous benefits to Allegiant and our customers,” the company told ch-aviation, adding that there are a few additional steps in the induction process, but its entry into service is expected to take place in several weeks.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows Allegiant Air has an unfilled order for forty-nine B737 MAX: twenty-four B737-7s and twenty-five B737-8-200s. Its fleet comprises 131 other aircraft: thirty-five A319-100s, and ninety-six A320-200s.
