Elevate Jet (LVT, Bedford, MA) is planning to add an unspecified Airbus ACJ business jet to its managed fleet, forcing it to seek a certificate of public convenience and necessity.
The Florida-based business aviation operator applied for the certificate on September 11, 2024.
"Elevate Jet plans to operate on-demand charters with its large ACJ aircraft, following the management agreement model employed for Part 135 aircraft pursuant to which the aircraft is flown for both the owner as requested as well as third party charters to the extent permitted by the owner under the terms of the management agreement," the operator said in the filing.
It added that the charters would target larger groups including music and entertainment groups and corporate shuttles. Many of those customers currently use third-party charters arranged by Elevate Jet's sister company, Private Jet Services Group.
The ACJ will be based out of Salt Lake City and configured to carry up to 18-25 passengers. It will be managed under a management/lease agreement.
Elevate Jet currently operates nine aircraft. Six of them are Part 135 certified (under its former brand name Keystone Aviation), including one G200, one GV, one G650ER, one Global Express, one Phenom 100, and one Falcon 7X. Three aircraft operated privately comprise one Legacy 650, one Cessna Citation CJ3+, and one Cessna Conquest. The operator also has one undisclosed aircraft under maintenance contract.
Elevate Jet is wholly owned by Elevate Aviation Group, which is controlled by the Raiff family.
