Argentina’s civil aviation authority (Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil - ANAC) has certified Flybondi (FO, Córdoba International) to offer groundhandling services to other carriers, the airline announced in a statement.

Mauricio Sana, chief executive of Flybondi, said in a statement that the company had managed its own groundhandling service at 80% of the airports where it operates, except for Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery, Ushuaia, El Calafate, and Comodoro Rivadavia.

“Now, we are certified to offer it to other airlines. This is a significant step forward for the growth of the commercial aviation industry in Argentina, providing a new option for other national and international carriers,” he added.

The Mauricio Macri-led Argentinian government removed the groundhandling monopoly to state-owned Intercargo in 2019 through Decree 49/2019.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows Flybondi operates a fleet of fifteen B737-800s.
