Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International) has agreed with aircraft manufacturers Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to restructure its outstanding aircraft deliveries to better match its new business plan. With Airbus Gulf Air has agreed to convert orders for 14 A330-200s to an order for 8 additional A320-200s and up to 16 A320neo aircraft with the neo aircraft expected to also partially replace its existing A320 family narrowbody fleet by 2020. With Boeing the Bahraini national carrier has agreed to cut its B787-8 commitment from 24 aircraft down to 12 firm orders and 4 additional options. Gulf Air still also has six A330-300s and two A321-200s on order.
