B.J. Aviation has successfully obtained a Slovenian Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) for its newly formed unit, B.J. Aviation d.o.o., dba B.J. Aviation Slovenia. The first aircraft to join its fleet is a Citation III.
The new company was incorporated in Slovenia in May 2023 and on September 18, the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (Javna agencija za civilno letalstvo), officially issued it an AOC, enabling it to conduct both commercial passenger and cargo flights.
HA-JEV (msn 650-0174) is a 35.1-year-old jet, and previously operated under JetStream (Hungary)'s AOC. Its last service for the Hungarian operator took place on September 17, flying between London Biggin Hill and its home base in Budapest. On September 19, the aircraft made its inaugural flight for the B.J. Aviation Slovenia, operating between Budapest and Milan Linate. Despite its transfer to the Slovenian AOC, the jet has retained its Hungarian registration.
Following this move, JetStream's fleet now consists of seven aircraft, including one Citation I, one Citation III, one Citation Jet, three Citation VIs, and one Zlin Z-226T.
Meanwhile, B.J. Aviation's Hungarian AOC now manages a fleet of six aircraft, including one Citation III, one Citation VI, two Citation VIIs, one Citation XLS+, and one B200GT King Air.
