Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International) has named Nashville International as its inaugural A321-200NY(XLR) destination starting April 12, 2025, with a 4x weekly service.
“The journey time from Dublin to Nashville is 9 hours 05 minutes and 8 hours 10 minutes return from Nashville to Dublin, with the route operating almost year-round, with a brief six-week suspension in January and February,” the carrier said in a statement.
Aer Lingus’s A321neo(XLR)s will seat 184 passengers in a two-class configuration, with 168 seats in economy and 16 in business.
IAG International Airlines Group placed an order for fourteen A321neo(XLR)s in 2019, of which six were initially destined for Aer Lingus and eight for sister company Iberia. As the XLR's launch operator, Iberia will debut its operations on October 26 with crew training flights from Madrid Barajas to London Heathrow.
Aer Lingus was scheduled to be the XLR's launch operator. However, a pay dispute with the Irish Air Line Pilot’s Association (IALPA) saw the carrier lose this privilege to Iberia.
