Businessair inducted its first two Cessna Aircraft Company Citation business jets onto the Maltese register, ch-aviation research has revealed.

Citation II 9H-PIK (msn 550-0324) was transferred from Greece's Kapajet to Businessair in late August 2024 or early September 2024. The 42.2-year-old jet carrying up to eight passengers was also operated under the same Maltese registration. It regularly operates flights around Europe and is based out of Dlouha Lhota airport in western Czechia.

In turn, Citation I/SP 9H-DKK (msn 501-0107) was previously registered as OK-DTC in Czechia. The 45.3-year-old aircraft was deregistered on July 15, 2024, but has not been active since then.

Businessair was incorporated in Malta in February 2023 and is wholly owned by Czech national Pavel Pik, who is also the founder and owner of Business Air in Czechia. Neither the Maltese nor the Czech units have an AOC at this time. The company did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment regarding its certification plans.

Czechia's Business Air has no aircraft registered to it.
