Jet Aviation Flight Services (JAS, Teterboro) has broken ground on a new two-hangar fixed base operation (FBO) complex at Miami Opa-Locka, aiming to strengthen its presence in the US.

“We are committed to growing in locations where our customers want us to be. Florida is an important destination for business aviation,” said David Best, senior vice president regional operations Americas.

The 27-acre (109,000-square-meter) facility at Miami-Opa Locka will include an FBO, a ramp for large-cabin jets, and on-site US Customs. Additionally, it will feature two private hangars for multiple large-cabin and ultra-long-range jets, with the first phase of operations set to commence in the third quarter of 2025.

Jet Aviation has 12 FBOs in the United States and 18 in other regions, including Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. The operator has an in-house fleet of 53 aircraft and three helicopters certificated for Part 135 operations in the US, with subsidiary operators in Switzerland, San Marino, Malta, and Hong Kong, among other locations.
