Australian Corporate Jet Centres (Melbourne Essendon) has taken delivery of a Hawker 800XPi, resuming operations for this aircraft type after an 11-month hiatus. The jet, formerly operated by Red Dot Air Ambulance - a subsidiary of Seletar Jet Charter - was the last of its kind in their fleet.
VH-OTK (msn 258795), soon to be re-registered as VH-8XP, will be available for aeromedical and passenger charter services following a general refurbishment, as confirmed to ch-aviation by ACJC's CEO, Sam Iliades. Previously based at Singapore Seletar, it was part of Red Dot Air Ambulance's fleet, which operates under Seletar Jet Charter's certificate in Australia. At 18.1 years old, the aircraft was originally delivered to NetJets Transportes Aéreos (NJE, Lisbon), where it operated under Portuguese registration for 11 years before being registered in the US and, subsequently, in Australia since 2022.
This addition signifies the return of Hawker Beechcraft operations for ACJC, which were paused in December 2023. Its business jet fleet now consists of seven aircraft, including one Challenger 604, one Citation I/SP (Eagle II), one Citation Sovereign, two Embraer E145s, one Global Express, and one Hawker 800XPi. The company also operates a Beech (twin piston) 58 Baron and a Piper (twin piston) PA-31-350.
Australian Corporate Jet Centres provides private jet charter services and aircraft management, alongside aeromedical services through JetCity and maintenance with Australian Aircraft Engineering. FBO services are offered through Melbourne Corporate Jet Centre, located in Melbourne Essendon, with private jet card programmes and brokering facilitated by US's Airstream Jets, a Florida-based company.
Although this is the last Hawker 800XPi for Red Dot Air Ambulance, which provides air medical services and evacuations across the Asia-Pacific region, the fleet will still include one Hawker 800XPi(2), one Learjet 60SE, and one Learjet 60XR. Seletar Jet Charter, the parent company, offers private jet charter services, aircraft management, and acquisitions, operating one Challenger 604, one Citation Sovereign, and one Global 7500.
