PSA Airlines (OH, Dayton James M. Cox) will dry-lease fourteen CRJ900NGs from parent American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) which is purchasing them. They will be delivered and inducted in phases.

With the first aircraft expected between October and November, the company said these new jets will allow PSA’s continued growth “and its significance to American’s network and its American Eagle portfolio.”

The induction process includes converting each aircraft to PSA’s 76-seat, dual-class configuration and maintenance. Dion Flannery, the carrier’s president and chief executive, said in 2024 the company has restored its staff to pre-pandemic levels, taken all its aircraft out of long-term parking and inducted the last of seven aircraft as part of a previous agreement. “Now, we’re prepared for the next phase of growth with the addition of these fourteen NextGen CRJ900s.”

The ch-aviation fleets module shows PSA Airlines' fleet comprises 141 aircraft - sixty-one CRJ700s and sixty-four CRJ900ERs and sixteen CRJ900LRs. The fleet has an average age of 13.1 years. Only four aircraft are not leased from American Airlines - three CRJ700 Srs 701ERs from Chorus Aviation and one from Dougherty & Company.
