Lukoil-Avia (LUK, Moscow Sheremetyevo) has taken delivery of its first Global 6000, RA-73635 (msn 9705), despite ongoing Western sanctions on Russia, ch-aviation research has found. The 9.5-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft arrived in Moscow Vnukovo from Muscat on October 30, 2024, operating under Lukoil-Avia's 'LUK' code.
Previously registered in the Cayman Islands as VP-CZJ, the aircraft was recently operating under the code 'TBJ' for TAG Aviation Asia (TBJ, Hong Kong International). ADS-B data shows that it flew from Hong Kong International to Kuala Lumpur Subang on June 24, 2024, with a subsequent test flight on August 22. Its last recorded flight under its former registration took place on September 27, when it flew to Muscat no longer operating under TAG Aviation Asia's 'TBJ' code.
Public records from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAA) as of May 2024 indicate that VP-CZJ, which has held this registration throughout its operational life, was owned by Elegant Ease International Limited, a company registered in the British Virgin Islands.
With this addition, Lukoil-Avia's executive fleet now comprises one Global 6000, one Global Express XRS, two Beech (twin turboprop) King Air B300s, and six Mi-8MTV-1 Mil Helicopters, as listed in the Russian aircraft register. The operator also recently received its first SSJ 100/95SBJ, which was the last unit of the SSJ 100/95 family with Western-manufactured PowerJet SaM146 engines. Lukoil-Avia serves as the corporate and utility aviation provider for the Russian oil and gas giant Lukoil.
