The US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has designated 275 additional entities and individuals from Russia and 15 other jurisdictions for circumventing sanctions, including six companies previously linked to business jet spare imports to the country.

The eight firms are:

  • India-based Shaurya Aeronautics
  • Ascend Aviation India,
  • mainland China-based Sunshine Logistics Shenzhen,
  • Türkiye-based Khius Uluslararasi Ticaret Ve Lojistik, and
  • Russian firm FastAir International.

While the US Department of the Treasury did not detail the nature of sanctions violations allegedly committed by these firms, The Insider, an investigative website focused on Russia, reported earlier, based on customs data, that all were involved in smuggling business jet spares to Russia.

The 275 entities and individuals sanctioned on October 30 are based in Russia, Türkiye, India, mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Switzerland, Montenegro, Serbia, Cyprus, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, Benin, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Bermuda. No airlines were designated in this round.
