CJet Aviation has opened a Fixed Base Operation at Trois-Rivières, Québec province, as it prepares to launch charter operations with its recently inducted Piaggio Avanti.
P.180 C-GCVU (msn 1151) was ferried from St. Petersburg/Clearwater via Harrisburg International to Trois-Rivières on August 16, 2024, still under its previous US registration, N159KH. It was operated privately in the United States and was re-registered in Canada with commercial approval on October 3.
CJet Aviation already holds a certificate in Canada but is only authorised to operate privately under CAR604 regulations. It plans to offer charters with the Piaggio Avanti and an EC120 helicopter.
The company invested CAD8 million Canadian dollars (USD5.8 million) in its first FBO facility.
CJet Aviation was incorporated in 2022 and is owned by one Guillaume Champagne. The FBO entity, CJet FBO Service Aéroportuaire Inc., was launched in mid-2023.
