Unicair (UNI, Cologne/Bonn) has expanded its fleet with the addition of its first Learjet 45, marking the German operator's first non-XR variant of the aircraft, according to ch-aviation research.

D-CHLP (msn 45-005) completed its first flight under Unicair's 'UNI' code on November 6, 2024, between Copenhagen Roskilde, where it had been stored since September 2022, and Odense. This 26.9-year-old jet was initially registered in the United States before moving through various countries, including the UK, Austria, Denmark, and Norway, where it was most recently operated by Airwing as LN-AWE, prior to storage.

Unicair, formed from the merger of Air Alliance (Germany) and Jetcall, specialises in air ambulance services and now operates a fleet of 18 aircraft - three Bombardier Business Aircraft Challenger 604s, two Learjet 31As, five Learjet 35As, one Learjet 35A(ZR Lite), one Learjet 45, four Learjet 45(XR)s, and two Learjet 45XRs.
