Jet Air (Galesburg) has retired its sole Citation XLS+ from its Part 135-certified fleet in October 2024, ch-aviation research shows. The company will continue offering charter services with sister types the Citation XLS and Citation Excel.
N497MN (msn 560-6263) was parked for a month at Indianapolis International between September 15 and October 15, after which it flew to Chicago Executive. Three days later, it began operating under the code 'PWA' for Priester Aviation (PWA, Chicago Executive), with a flight to Hilton Head, although it is not listed as a Part 135-certified aircraft under the new company.
Configured for up to seven passengers with Jet Air, the aircraft joined the operator's fleet in May 2022, initially as N560VM. The 5.8-year-old midsize business jet has been US-registered throughout its service life.
Following this retirement, Jet Air's fleet, exclusively composed of Cessna Aircraft Company jets, now includes four Citation Bravo, one Citation Excel, and two Citation XLSs.
Specialising in private jet charters, aircraft management, medical air transport, acquisitions and sales, maintenance, and pilot training, Jet Air also provides fixed base operations (FBO) at Burlington, IA, Galesburg, Iowa City, and Macomb Municipal.
