LuebeckAir (2012) (Hamburg Luebeck) is the proposed name or a new regional carrier to be based at Hamburg Luebeck backed by Winfried Stöcker, the managing director of laboratory diagnostics producer Euroimmun. It plans to wet-lease two turboprops with 30 and 70 seats for regional flights from the airport to domestic destinations and possibly to Amsterdam Schiphol, Copenhagen Kastrup and Zurich. Stöcker had previously also placed a bid for the airport itself that is currently up for sale by the city of Lübeck that either wants to sell to a new investor or close the airport after years of losses. He has however decided to withdraw the bid in favour with another private bidder from the region instead concentrating on his airline project.
