SaxonAir Charter (SXN, Norwich International) has reintroduced the Phenom 300 type under its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) with the addition of two aircraft, ch-aviation research has revealed.
G-WZAP (msn 50500438) was originally delivered to SaxonAir Charter in 2017 as the operator’s first of two Phenom 300s. It was retired in 2022 when it was the operator's only unit of the type. The 6.9-year-old jet was subsequently operated by fellow British company Voluxis until mid-2023, before being privately managed. Now back under SaxonAir Charter’s AOC, G-WZAP has been parked at London Stansted since October 27 following a flight from Faro.
At the same time, SaxonAir Charter added another Phenom 300, G-ZENG (msn 50500409), a 7.5-year-old aircraft previously operated by Centreline since early 2023. The jet flew for the last time under the 'CLF' code on March 1, between Bucharest Baneasa and London Luton, where it is has been stationed ever since. This was the last Phenom 300 operated by Centreline, which had earlier managed another unit of the type between 2018 and 2020.
Since being added to SaxonAir Charter's AOC, neither aircraft has operated under the 'SXN' code. Alongside the newly inducted Embraer Executive Jets, the UK-based operator’s fixed-wing fleet comprises a Citation Jet, a Citation Jet 1, a Citation Jet 1+, a Learjet 40, a Learjet 45, two Learjet 45XR, and a Learjet 75. It also holds a second AOC for its helicopter charter operations, with a fleet of eight helicopters.
Meanwhile, following the retirement of the Phenom 300 type, Centreline continues to operate four Embraer aircraft, including three Legacy 500s and one Praetor 600, in addition to three Dassault Aviation jets, a Falcon 8X and two Falcon 900LX. Centreline's AOC includes two King Air B200 turboprops in an air ambulance configuration, which the company operates on behalf of Capital Air Ambulance.
