Z Air (7Z, Bonaire) has announced it will receive its first E140 shortly. The aircraft recently rolled out with the airline’s livery, albeit it has yet to deliver to the Caribbean.

The regional jet, N841AE (msn 145667), is a 22-year-old unit owned and managed by Regional One, with capacity for 44 passengers in a single-class configuration. ADS-B data shows it last flew from Amarillo Rick Husband International to Carbondale/Murphysboro on November 12. It was spotted with Z Air’s livery seven days later in Carbondale.

“Our very first Embraer E140 is nearing completion and preparing to join the Z Air fleet. This marks a significant step forward as we prepare to elevate connectivity and service from the ABC islands [Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao] to the broader region,” the company said on social media.

This is the first of two E140s that Z Air will incorporate into its fleet. Medellín José Maria Córdova is expected to be the first destination to be served with N841AE. The three Saab 340B(Plus) aircraft in Z Air’s fleet will remain in operation and be used primarily for flights between Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.

Z Air was not immediately available for comment.
