Gestair Private Jets (GES, Madrid Barajas) has retired its sole Citation Sovereign, EC-MLV (msn 680-0215), according to ch-aviation research. The 16.4-year-old jet had been part of the Spanish operator’s fleet since 2017.

The aircraft was actively operating until June 25, completing a flight between Santander and Zurich, where it remained parked until November 8. On that date, it performed a round-trip to Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden. On November 13, it departed Zurich for the United States, flying via Reykjavik Keflavik and Bangor International before arriving at Georgetown Executive the following day. It has since been de-registered in Spain, but its new registration is not known.

Gestair continues to operate other Citation types, including a Citation Excel, a Citation II, a Citation Latitude, and four Citation XLS+, the most recent of which entered service under the 'GES' code on November 29. With a fleet of 26 aircraft, the Spanish operator also manages a variety of jets manufactured by Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Pilatus Aircraft.

Gestair Private Jets' other division, Gestair Aviation Malta, holds six aircraft under its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) and does not currently manage any Citation models. However, it operated a Citation Sovereign+ between 2020 and earlier this year.
