Amelia (8R, Paris Le Bourget) has launched a new subsidiary, Amelia Executive, based in Vienna, Austria, to provide premium charter services. The announcement was made at the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) Show at Dubai World Central and included details of its first aircraft, an A319-100 in an executive configuration.

“We are always seeking opportunities to innovate and grow; Amelia Executive is a new venture that allows our group to offer a specific service to both current and new customers. We are convinced that offering direct long-range flights, serving both large and secondary airports, with the highest standard, will meet the expectations of our new and returning customers”, said Alain Regourd, CEO of Regourd Aviation/Amelia Group.

Earlier this year, in an exclusive interview with ch-aviation, Amelia's Development Director Charles Mahé revealed plans to focus on premium markets by converting F-HDRA (msn 2279), an A319-100, to a 60-passenger VIP aircraft with extended range.

The aircraft has been parked in Ljubljana since September 30 and is placed under the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) of Slovenia's Amelia International. It is awaiting induction into service with bookings for 2025 already underway.

Amelia has a fleet of 18 aircraft under its French and Slovenian AOCs, ranging from the E135 to the A320-200. The company, which recently secured a United States foreign air carrier permit, specialises in ACMI and charter operations, with current clients including Air Algérie and Bangkok Airways, according to the ch-aviation fleets module.
