Skylight (LSK, Moscow Sheremetyevo) added its third Global Express XRS in 2024, despite ongoing Western sanctions, ch-aviation research has found.
RA-73539 (msn 9349) was first active on August 17, 2024, completing a flight between Bishkek and Tashkent International, followed by a flight to Moscow Vnukovo later that day. The 15.8-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft has been actively operating under the 'LSK' code ever since.
Initially registered in the Isle of Man, the aircraft spent six years there before being exported to Luxembourg and later reimported to the Isle of Man. In March 2024, it was reregistered in Aruba as P4-OMA under a local company named Global Connection Investment and Trade LLC. Under this registration, it was flown from Guernsey to Bangor International, Battle Creek, Dubai World Central, Istanbul Airport Istanbul Atatürk, and Vienna between April 25 and June 10. It was last active as P4-OMA on a flight to Bishkek on June 19.
Skylight operates a fleet comprised of two other Global Express XRS, a Legacy 600, and a Legacy 650. All these aircraft were inducted after Western sanctions were imposed on Russia in 2022. One of the existing Global Express XRS was previously registered in the Isle of Man, while the second Global Express XRS and the Legacy 650 were previously registered in Aruba. The Legacy 600, meanwhile, was formerly operated in Russia by RusJet.
