SD Aviation (La Roche-sur-Yon) has secured Air Operator Certificate (AOC) FR.AOC.0156 from the French Civil Aviation Authority (Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile - DGAC). The company confirmed to ch-aviation in late November that it had completed all requisite steps and was awaiting the final approval.
Following an 18-month certification process, SD Aviation plans to commence commercial operations in January 2025 with a 9.9-year-old Phenom 300 and a newly added 3.1-year-old Phenom 300E, both configured for eight passengers. CEO Sébastien Dubreuil told ch-aviation that a recently inducted Citation M2 Gen2 will also be added for commercial operations before the summer of 2025.
SD Aviation’s current fleet includes two Citation Mustang jets operated privately. Additionally, two Phenom 100s and a PC-12 operated by the company are now slated for sale, Dubreuil added. The firm also has two additional Citation M2 Gen2 jets on order.
