Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) has resumed flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo and Hong Kong International after pausing them in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first of what will be 3x weekly services departed the Russian capital on December 23, 2024.

ch-aviation schedules data show Aeroflot will deploy A330-300s on the route.

In a media statement, the airline says it expects solid tourist and business traffic on the flights and adds that the resuming services have enjoyed heavy loads.

Despite western sanctions, Aeroflot continues to operate to 108 airports in 21 countries. The ch-aviation fleets module shows that, excluding its subsidiary carriers, the airline operates 171 aircraft, 14 of which are currently inactive.
