Air Service Liege N.V., doing business as ASL airtaxi (BNJ, Liège), has requested US Department of Transportation (DOT) authorisation to operate charter services between the European Union and the United States.
The business aviation carrier is looking to conduct on-demand charter operations with bizjet aircraft of no more than 60 seats or a maximum payload capacity of up to 18,000 pounds (8.1 tonnes). It currently holds a Part 375 Special Authorisation from the DOT, which allows operators to conduct up to twelve flights to the US over a 12-month period.
The company operates a fleet of two Beech B200s, one Citation Jet 1+, two Citation Jet 2+, six Citation Mustangs, four Citation Sovereigns, three Citation XLS, two Citation XLS+, one Learjet 40, one Learjet 45, one Learjet 45(XR), one Legacy 450, and two Legacy 500s. The fleet is registered both in Belgium and the Netherlands.
