Aviair (GD, Kununurra) has retired the last executive jet it operated, a Citation Mustang, ch-aviation research reveals.

VH-KSQ (msn 510-0247) is a 15.4-year-old aircraft configured to seat up to four passengers. Operated by Aviair since June 2021, it was the last of two units of the type. The other was retired in 2024. On February 3, 2025, VH-KSQ was registered with Air Link (LZ, Dubbo), which operates five additional Citation Mustang jets.

Aviair’s fleet operated under its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) now comprises only turboprop and piston aircraft, including five Beech 58s, five King Air B200s, a GA8, fourteen Cessna 208Bs, and five PC-12s. Additionally, Aviair offers a fleet of helicopters for scenic and charter flights, although these are not under the company's certificate.

Aviair also houses and operates five DHC-8-Q400s on behalf of sister carrier Nexus Airlines. In a recent exclusive interview with ch-aviation, Nexus Airlines' managing director, Michael McConachy, explained that this was the most efficient approach for setting up operations. Nexus Airlines plans to eventually obtain its own AOC in the future. Both operators are owned by HMC Group.
