Empyreal Jet (RLJ, Houston Hobby) no longer has any aircraft listed under its Part 135 certificate following the retirement of its sole Learjet 60, ch-aviation research shows. The company told ch-aviation that it has no plans to resume operations under the certificate and may surrender it soon.
N601EJ (msn 60-101), the last aircraft under Empyreal Jet’s Part 135 certificate, has been stored since August 8, 2023, following a flight from Nassau International to Houston Intercontinental. The 27.8-year-old jet had been part of the company's fleet since 2022.
Between January and October 2024, Empyreal Jet's Part 135 certificate included two Hawker 800XPs, a Hawker 800XP(R), and the recently removed Learjet 60. In March 2024, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposed a USD175,000 civil penalty against the company for allegedly operating a Hawker 800XP in an unairworthy condition on approximately 31 revenue flights in 2022.
