Urbane Jets has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TAAL - Taneja Aerospace And Aviation, the owner and operator of Hosur aerodrome, to develop a general aviation terminal at the privately owned airfield, CEO Abishek Kulkarni announced on social media.
Under the agreement, Urbane Jets will oversee slot and parking allocation for private jets and helicopters while managing, maintaining, and operating the terminal building. Located around 40 kilometres from Bengaluru city centre, Hosur does not host scheduled commercial flights.
The MoU follows the recent induction of Urbane Jet's first executive jet, a Premier IA, which began charter operations on March 1, 2025. Additionally, the company operates an AW109 helicopter and manages a heliport and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangar in Pune.
In addition to managing Hosur, TAAL provides aircraft maintenance across four MRO hangars on-site, aerospace manufacturing, and military aviation services, including avionics retrofitting and modifications for both commercial and defence aircraft.
