Carpatair (V3, Timisoara) as well as Czech regional carrier Central Connect Airlines (Ostrava) and Swiss regional Darwin Airline (Lugano) have reportedly started talks with Italian civil aviation authority ENAC about the public service obligation route between Bolzano/Bozen and Rome Fiumicino according to Italian newspaper Dolomiten. Bolzano airport has been left unserved since the beginning of this month after ENAC's agreement with Air Alps (Innsbruck) has expired and the two parties could not agree on a new agreement or Air Alps' proposal to serve the route without subsidies but only two and not four times daily.
