MJET (Austria) (MJF, Vienna) is set to begin Learjet operations in April 2025 with the addition of a first Learjet 60.
OE-GNL (msn 60-173) is a 25.1-year-old aircraft recently registered in Austria. Previously operated in South Africa as ZS-TEJ, ADS-B data indicates the jet has been mostly inactive over the last two years. In August 2024, it operated a test flight around Johannesburg Lanseria, where it was then parked for an extended time. On February 12, 2025, it resumed operations with another test flight before being ferried to Vienna over February 17-18, with a stop at São Tome.
Chief commercial officer Antonia Gilbert confirmed to ch-aviation that while the jet is under management, it will be available for charter on a flexible basis, with Simply Jet serving as the dedicated broker.
The Learjet 60 joins MJET's fleet, which includes a Challenger 650, a Legacy 600, a G200, a G450, a GVII-G500, and a G650. The company is also the registered operator of an ACJ319-100, which has been stored at Dubai World Central since May 2022.
MJET's sister company Alpi Jets, which also holds an Austrian air operator's certificate (AOC), operates a Phenom 300E, a G450, a G550, a GVII-G600, and a Pilatus PC-24.
