Hardy Aviation (Darwin) and its scheduled division Fly Tiwi Airlines (Darwin) have temporarily suspends operations after receiving a letter from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) asking for pilot training issues to be addressed. The regional operator operates a fleet of 32 turboprop and piston aircraft including an E120 and five Metroliners that are also used for scheduled Fly Tiwi services on regional routes from Darwin alongside Cessna 402s and Cessna 404s. Hardy Aviation has since resumed operations but Fly Tiwi is not yet planning to resume its scheduled services before December 12.
