Asiana Airlines (OZ, Seoul Incheon) will extend its B767-300 operations to May 31, 2025, two months later than initially planned. The aircraft will operate 2x daily flights on Seoul Gimpo-Jeju route until the end of May, the aviation portal AeroRoutes reported.

According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module, HL7528 (msn 29129) is the only B767-300 still active in Asiana Airlines' fleet. Equipped with General Electric CF6 engines and configured with 290 seats in an all-economy layout, it is 27.1 years old and was first delivered to the airline in September 1999.

The company has operated a further eight of the variant since January 1994. The penultimate one was retired in November 2022.

Asiana Airlines' parent company, Korean Air, is also extending its aircraft service due to delays in the delivery of new jets. Korean Air's chief executive Walter Cho recently announced it would postpone the retirement of its A380-800s and B747-8s because the airline is "short by about 20 aircraft per manufacturer."

Asiana Airlines' widebody fleet comprises fourteen A330-300s, fifteen A350-900s (with another fifteen due to be delivered), six A380-800s, and nine B777-200ERs. The company also operates twelve A321-200s and thirteen A321-200NX, with another twelve of the latter to be delivered. Its cargo fleet comprises five B747-400(BDSF)s, six B747-400FSCDs, and a single B767-300F.
