NyxAir (OJ, Tallinn Lennart Meri) has opened a base at Ostrava, also using the airport as a maintenance station for its fleet of Saab (Sweden) turboprops.

"[An] ATR72 and [a] Saab 340 aircraft are currently parked in the Czech Republic and use the airport's technical facilities, which allow for efficient and safe operation," the airport operator said.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows that Saab 340A(F)s ES-NSN (msn 340A-082) was ferried to Ostrava on March 13 and has been operating out of the airport since April 1. In turn, ATR72-500(F) ES-NTC (msn 541) has been flying out of Ostrava since March 17, although only returning to the airport every few days.

Local transportation news website Zdopravy.cz said that by the end of May 2025, the base would comprise two Saab 340s and one ATR72.

NyxAir operates eight aircraft: two ATR42-500s, one ATR72-500(F), one Saab 340A, two Saab 340A(F)s, and two Saab 340Bs.
