Chrono Aviation (NDL, Québec) has taken delivery of its first B737-800, the company announced on social media.
The business operator received C-FHNM (msn 30631), a former Nolinor Aviation aircraft with a capacity for 189 passengers. The 23.3-year-old twinjet flew between Montréal Mirabel and Trois-Rivières on April 30 under Chrono Aviation subsidiary Chrono Jet’s ‘MB’ code, ADS-B data shows.
The Canadian aircraft registry states that Les Investissements Nolinor Inc., trading as Nolinor Aviation, is still the owner of the aircraft.
The company had been looking for a Boeing narrowbody jet for some time. In November 2024, Chrono Jet terminated its scheduled operations between Montréal and Iqaluit after being unable to source a B737-800. Earlier in the year, it had used wet-leased B737-800s from Sunwing Airlines and Flair Airlines to sustain the route.
The ch-aviation fleets module shows Chrono Jet’s fleet comprises two B737-200s, one B737-200C, one B737-800(SF), and one DHC-8-100. Chrono Aviation’s fleet is made up of one Citation X, seven PC-12s, one Cessna 750, and two Beech 1900Ds.
ch-aviation reached out to Chrono Aviation for comment on whether the arrival of the B737 will translate into a resumption of scheduled operations. However, the company's president, Vincent Gagnon, said C-FHNM will be used for charter operations only, and Chrono Jet is not offering scheduled services at the moment.
