Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) will acquire six B737-8s, according to a May 22, 2025, stock exchange filing. The Japanese carrier said its board had approved the purchase on the same day, with deliveries of the aircraft due to start in 2030. They will be equipped with CFM International engines.

The order is incremental to an existing order for eight B737-8s and three B737-10s. Skymark Airlines currently operates a fleet of twenty-nine B737-800s. The first of the B737-8s will arrive in 2026 and will be used to replace older B737-800s. According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation News, Operator & Airport Data module, Skymark flies to 12 airports within Japan.

A Skymark Airlines spokesperson told The Nikkei financial newspaper that given the long delivery timelines at Boeing, it was necessary to order the aircraft now to accommodate expected future growth.
