Ryan International Airlines (Wichita Eisenhower) has ceased all remaining charter operations on January 11 and has entered liquidation. The US charter carrier had already filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March 2012 and has now terminated the contracts of all of its employees and parked its remaining fleet of one A330-200, two B767-300ERs and two MD-83s. According to CEO Jeff Potter the overall economy, the massive decreases in US Department of Defense charter demand and disputes with Atlasjet Airlines (Antalya) over a wet-lease contract for its A330-200 as the main reasons for the final decision to liquidate the airline.
