Island Air (Hawaii) (Honolulu) has publicly announced that it has signed an agreement with a buyer wishing to stay undisclosed that is expected to acquire the independent regional carrier within the next six to eight weeks. Island Air operates three Dash 8-100s on regional services between the islands of Hawaii and is currently in the process of replacing the aircraft with three ex-Executive Airlines (Puerto Rico) (San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin) ATR 72-200s.
