American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) parent AMR has asked the bankruptcy court for an additional extension of the deadline to submit a restructuring plan for the company currently operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. American is now hoping to be allowed to submit its restructuring plan detailing on how it aims to emerge from Chapter 11 by April 1 instead of March 11.
