PAL Express (2P, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) is the new brand of airphilexpress (Manila Ninoy Aquino International) that has been introduced as of March 15 as part of a transition previously announced by parent Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) already. PAL Express service standards have been improved according to statements made by PAL president Ramon Ang to now match the services provided by Philippine Airlines differentiating itself from other low-cost carriers. PAL Express and Philippine Airlines will however continue to operate as separate entities. PAL Express' fleet includes 11 A320-200s, five Dash 8-400s and four Dash 8-300s. It mainly operates domestically in the Philippines but also offers international services to Hong Kong International, Kuala Lumpur International and Singapore Changi.
