Orient Thai Airlines (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has retired its last MD-81 HS-MDJ (MSN 53297) from active service and has parked the aircraft at Bangkok Don Mueang. It continues to operate two MD-82s on domestic scheduled services. This leaves Venezuelan domestic carrier Laser Airlines (QL, Caracas Simón Bolivar) as the last commercial operator of the type with Olympia Aviation (Pontiac Oakland County International) also operating an aircraft on behalf of the Detroit Tigers team.
