Porter Airlines (P3, Toronto Billy Bishop City Centre) has officially confirmed an order for 30 Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) CSeries 100 jets valued at US$2.08billion, with delivery due to begin in 2016. The order for 12 CSeries jets is valued at US$870 million at list prices, with options for another 18 aircraft bringing the total to USD$2.08 billion. Porter also has options for six Dash 8-400s, taking the total order value to USD$2.29 billion. However, the deal hinges on the successful appeal of regulations prohibiting the operation of scheduled commercial jet flights out of Porter's Toronto base, as well as extensions to the airport's paltry 1'219m long runway. The CSeries Jets would allow Porter to expand into the regional market with flights to Vancouver International, Edmonton International, Calgary, Winnipeg International, Los Angeles International, Florida and the Caribbean.
