Cebu Pacific Air (5J, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has joined fellow Filipino carriers Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) and Zest Air (Manila Ninoy Aquino International) in suspending flights between the Philippines and Taiwan as ties between the two nations continue to deteriorate. Cebu, who had planned to début Cebu to Taipei Taoyuan flights on July 5, has now moved to drop the route completely until further notice. In a statement, Cebu said they had deferred the launch date due to the 'red' travel alert issued by Taiwan on the Philippines.
