American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) has reportedly narrowed down its choice for a 66 to 76-seater large regional aircraft to either the Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) CRJ900 or the Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International) E175 with a decision possible by year end. Once decided on, the new fleet of 60 jets would gradually replace the current 118 E145s operated by American Eagle Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth).
