Transportes Aéreos Bolivianos (2L, La Paz El Alto) will become the first operator of the MD-10(F) outside of FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) when it takes delivery of ex-N314FE (msn 48312). The Bolivian cargo carrier currently uses a single DC-10-10(F) and a DC-10-30(F) on flights between Bolivia and the United States. Following its merger with McDonnell Douglas (Long Beach) in the 1990s, Boeing (BOE, Washington National) conducted an upgrade program for the DC-10, equipping several with a glass cockpit, leading to their re-designation as MD-10s.
