Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) has been awarded traffic rights to serve Tel Aviv Ben Gurion from Warsaw Chopin and Gdansk by the Polish civil aviation authority. Dubai World Central rights were also given though the Hungarian LCC has yet to commit to the route. According to anna.aero, rights to serve the Israeli capital from Warsaw Modlin have also been granted though this has been put on the backburner for the time being. Wizz Air will also begin 6x weekly Budapest to Moscow Vnukovo flights effective September 23. Its Ukrainian subsidiary Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv Igor Sikorsky), pending Russian regulatory approval, is also seeking to begin Kyiv Igor Sikorsky to Moscow Vnukovo and St. Petersburg in October.
