Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) has announced that it has suspended flights to Egypt with effect from August 16 until September 15, pending an improvement on the ground. The Luxembourger carrier flies to Marsa Alam, Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh. Likewise, Belarusian carrier, Belavia (B2, Minsk National), will suspend its flights to Egypt in September. The airline will be flying its planes to Egypt until the end of August primarily to bring home Belarusian citizens currently in the North African country. Belavia currently operates charter flights to the cities of Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh.
